Chatbot & AI

 
Definitions:
 
Chatbot: is a robot software able to interact and chat with consumer via a conversation platform or application. This service allows to the companies to improve their interaction with their consumers, provide a personalized service, as well as to have a  better follow-up in live with their guests. This robot is programmed with an artificial intelligence.
 
 
 
Artificial intelligence: the ability of a machine to interact with people thanks to the understanding and the analysis of the human behaviour. This is the result of numerous researches in science about the ability to copy the human behaviour and their intelligence through machines.
 
 
 

How do you think bots on social media (especially Facebook) will impact hotel bookings, in the future?
 
For my opinion, I think that bots on social media will impact positively hotel bookings in the future because the digital is more and more used and developed by the hospitality industry. I'm not sure that this service will be really used to book a hotel because due to security reasons, the bots can be a problem. However, once the booking is done, the bots can be a great idea to personalized the customer service and improve their stays. Even during the stay, the guests could have some demands through the bots. Bots for me is a great idea for the future but it is important to think to how use it and not give it too much tasks and forget the human interaction between the guest and the employee.
