Augmented reality - Virtual reality

1) Augmented reality:  is the association between something of real and something of virtual. The goal is to link the both to create a content called "augmented reality".
For example, you can add a sound or a virtual image on your personal picture to improve the perception of this. It is often used for the video games, the cinema and at the TV.

2) Virtual reality: is the creation of an imaginary environment or the reproduction of a well-know or similar environment. This virtual environment is created by computers or softwares to provide to the users the availability to interact in its environment. The goal is to allow to the users of this technology to live a special experience across an numerical environment.

3) What is the difference in the 2 users experiences:
Augmented reality adds something of numerical to the reality to enhance the perception of the real life and improve it in appealing our senses across an image, a sound or flavor. Whereas, the virtual reality doesn't have a real link with the real world except the creation of real life simulation to allow to the users to live a unique experience.
 
4) What is Google cardboard? Why is it important?
Google cardboard is virtual reality mask develop by Google. It is customizable according to the preferences of the users. You have to use the cardboard applications on your phone to use it and according to the application, there are different contents. You have to put your phone in the back of the viewer and to run the application to see the content.
